This dog was bred in Australia by combining Dingos with various other breeds. The idea was to make a herder that didn’t bark (which upset the herds of cattle) and had good horse sense like a Dalmatian. When they came to prominence, they were known as the Queensland Blue Heeler but were later renamed as they became more widespread throughout the country.
These dogs do not wear out. The Dingo in them keeps them going all day long, if given the chance. They are high energy and tenacious, often being stubborn as well. If this dog doesn’t have a job to do, it will make one which you might not like. This is not a great dog for homes with children as it may nip at the kids heels to round them up. This is a very active dog that is going to want a lot of exercise.
