Traced back to the eighth century, these dogs were carefully bred all along the ages, leading to their name “Blooded Hound”, referring to their bloodlines. Perhaps one of the most valuable dogs in history because of their trailing abilities.
With a sense of smell five million times better than a human, these dogs see the world in a way that we cannot. Getting them to leave a trail can be difficult if not impossible. Many have died walking off a cliff if that is where the trail went. They are highly prized for never ever attacking when they find their quarry, making them great trackers of lost children as well as convicts.
