Game hunters used to kill otter, fox, and badger, these are tough little guys. They were used to flush or “bolt” game out of their dens. The breed gained national fame when one played Toto in the Wizard of Oz movie.
A digger, a barker, poor with other pets, this dog is very good with children. It can put up with the rough play from kids and larger dogs. This breed does need exercise, mental and physical, or it will get into trouble. They are happy to please the owner, though.
