The seeds of the apple have amygdlin that will release cyanide when both chewed and digested. The amounts released per seed are very minor so it would take a large amount to be dangerous. If the dog does not start grazing on apples, there is little chance for an issue. Symptoms can include:
- Blocks Red Blood Cells from Using Oxygen
- Dilated Pupils
- Difficulty Breathing
- Panting
- Shock
