Table salt is extremely toxic to dogs but there are far more opportunities for a dog to get Salt Poisoning than just salt.  Rock Salt, Homemade Playdough, Paint Balls, Sea Water, Enemas, and more all provide easy opportunities for damage to both the renal and neurological systems.  The danger is dosage based and the critical time is within the first 48 hours.  Symptoms can include:
