This fruit has soluble calium oxolate and has mild to severe effects on the body, depending on dosage. A large dosage would be required for your dog to be at substantial risk. Both the renal and neurological systems can be affected by this. The entire plant is toxic but the fruit itself usually has neglible amounts while seeds and stems will have higher toxicities.
