This is a type of insecticide that is closely related to organophosphates that will attack the nerve muscle junctions.  This can have a severe toxicity  due to both the digestive and cardiovascular systems being dependent on muscles affected.  While there are discussion of banning this, it is still used in common household roach and ant sprays.  Since the systems affected are critical a Vet should be notified immediately.  Symptoms can include:

  • Drooling
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Bloody Vomit
  • Diarrhea
  • Dilated Pupils
  • Tearing
  • Weakness
  • Lethargy
  • Lack of Appetite
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Lowered Body Temperature
  • Elevated Body Temperature
  • Increased Heart Rate
  • Lack of Coordination
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Twitching
  • Tremors
  • Seizures
  • Death
