Also know as DBP, his is the active chemical agent in glow sticks and other glow in the dark products, as well as manufacturing vinyl.  It is an oily liquid that has a very bitter taste that usually will prevent the dog from taking too much.  There are usually mild symptoms on whatever tissue it gets on that can be slightly stronger if the dog takes in too much.  Specifically with glow sticks, there are additional issues of a glass vial within that can be broken by chewing or obstruction of the airways.  Symptoms for DBP can include:

  • Hyperactivity
  • Skin Irritation
  • Eye Irritation
  • Loss of Appetite
