There are actually seven different types of Angel’s Trumpet and, to confuse things even more, there is a completely different plant (See Jimson Weed) that is sometimes called Angel’s Trumpet. All parts of the plant are moderately toxic, with the leaves and seeds having the highest concentration of tropane alkaloids, including atropine, hyoscyamine, and scopolamine. These will work on the neurological and digestive systems. Symptoms can include:
- Lethargy
- Hyperactivity
- Vomiting
- Constipation
- Dilated Pupils
- Loss of Coordination
- Disorientation
- Irregular Heart Rate
- Tremors
- Siezures
- Irregular Breathing
