A common plant that has multiple toxins that work on the digestive tract. Glycosides, mezerein, and coumarin are contained through the body of the plant but berries are the most commonly ingested. It will be a mild to moderate toxin that will affect the dermatological (coumarin) and gastrointestinal tracts (glycosides and mezerein). Symptoms can include:
- Skin Irritation
- Swelling of Mouth, Tongue, and Throat
- Blisters and Ulceration of the Mouth and Throat
- Difficulty Swallowing
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Stomach Ulcerations
- Bloody Diarrhea
- Dilated Pupils
- Shivering
- Convulsions
