A general grouping for several yuletide plants, these all contain the presence of saponins, methylxanthines, and cyanogens. The leaves and berries will contain the highest concentration of toxin but the entire plant should be avoided for animals. The toxins are mild to moderate and work on the gastrointestinal system. Symptoms can include:
- Licking of the Lips
- Drooling’
- Head Shaking
- Lack of Appetite
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
