A plant that provides a fruit that we use to make current cancer medications, the fruit is dangerous until it is ripe but then safe. The entire plant is toxic otherwise and the roots are the most dangerous. There are both dermatological as well as gastrointestinal aspects to this plant. The toxin, podophyllin, which contains up to 16 active compounds. This is a mild to moderate toxin for the most part. Symptoms can include:

- Abdominal Pain
- Vomiting
- Vigorous Diarrhea
- Lack of Appetite
- Excessive Tearing
