This is a paralytic neurotoxin that has severe toxicity to all animals. It will slow and then stop the heart rate and breathing until death occurs, so a vet should be sought immediately if you think that your dog has gotten into any part of the nightshade plant. Symptoms can include:
- Drooling
- Loss of Appetite
- Gastrointestinal Upset
- Confusion
- Behavioral Changes
- Weakness
- Drowsiness
- Dilated Pupils
- Slowed Breathing
- Slowed Heart Rate
