This plant delivers opiates to us, which are used in the treatment of pain. It also delivers heroin to us, which is used for very different purposes. Heroin is a concentration of the effects of the poppy, but the seeds still contain those same neurological properties. Some people use the seeds as a poor man’s heroin, but any part of the plant cause the euphoric effects. Greater dosages can move effects from mild to severe. Symptoms can include:
