This is infectious Hepatitis that affects the liver primarily but also the kidneys, eyes, and blood vessels.  It is spread through bodily fluids of an infected dog and is inhaled by a victim dog.  The respiratory tract is first affected but the other organs can quickly follow.  Dogs who are protected but not fully can have a clouding of the cornea.  This is easily avoided by vaccination and allows the dog to rid itself within 10-14 days.  Even dogs that have the vaccination and fight it off can be shedding the virus for up to 9 months.
