This is a lack of red blood cells.  To be anemic, the percentage of red blood cells is less than 37% of the whole blood (average is 39%-60%).  Red blood cells carry oxygen to the cells and a lack of them will allow limited oxygen to be distributed to the body.  Anemia can be caused by gastrointestinal bleeding, parasites, toxins, or several different diseases.  Symptoms can include:

  • Black Tarry Stools
