A trust for a pet is legally valid and may be enforced by individuals named in the trust or by the court or by a trustee. Unless expressly provided for, no portion of the trust may be used for trustee or for any other use except for the benefit of the animal. A court may reduce the amount of property transferred if the amount exceeds what is required for intended use.
