1) If the ownership of a dog changes when a dog already has a specific identification number, or if the address of the owner changes, the owner will file regarding the change within ten days. The owner of record is responsible for that filing until a new owner takes over the license.
2) If a dog is lost or stolen, the owner on file shall report this within ten days, in writing. After the filing of said report, the owner on file will not be held liable for any violation of this article.
3) In the case of a dog’s death, the owner of record will notify the appropriate parties on or before the time of license renewal.
