1) Animal Abuse Crime will mean animal fighting (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 351) or overdriving, torturing, or injuring animals (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 353) or aggravated cruelty to animals (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 353-A) or electrocution of fur bearing animals (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 353-A) or abandonment of animals (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 355) or failure to provide proper food or drink to an impounded animal (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 356) or poisoning or attempting to poison animals (Agriculture and Markets Law Section 360) or harming of a service animal in the first degree (Penal Code 242.15).
2) Animal Shelter mean any full service shelter that makes dogs and cats available, whether or not a fee is charged.
3) Animal Rescue means a not for profit organization that accepts animals from animal shelters for the purpose of finding them homes.
