1) Animal fighting shall mean any fight between dogs or other animals.
2) Any person that engages in the following is guilty of a felony, punishable by a period of not more than four years or a fine not to exceed twenty five thousand dollars or both: For amusement or gain causes an animal to engage in animal fighting or trains an animal with the intent of animal fighting or breeds or offers for sale an animal for the purposes of animal fighting or has an animal on premises dedicated to animal fighting or allows any of the above to occur.
3) Any person that keeps an animal and states the intent to engage or train an animal in animal fighting is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable for up to one year in jail or fifteen thousand dollars or both.
4) Any person that knowingly views, as a spectator and has paid an admission fee, or has made a wager at any exhibition of animal fighting is guilty of a misdemeanor that is punishable by imprisonment of up to a year or a fine of up to one thousand dollars or both.
5) Any person that knowingly is a spectator at any place a animal fight is being conducted is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor that is punishable by imprisonment of up to three months or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars or both.
6) Any person who intentionally owns, possesses, sells, transfers, or manufactures animal fighting paraphernalia with the intent to promote or facilitate animal fighting is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment of up to ninety days or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars or both. Any person participating in this with a prior conviction within the last five years shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to one thousand dollars or both.
